The Line Skis 08/09 website has been up for a couple days now and I finally decided to look in and see what its all about. To my surprise it is more than just skis. From lifestyle and rider news sections to full on product videos Line has stepped up their game. The wait was well worth it. Now I can see why they were having some problems launching. Freeskier Celebrates Simon’s World Record

As if a cover wasn’t enough, Freeskier Mag threw a party for Simon Dumont celebrating his insane feat of breaking the world record for height off a quarterpipe.
After all, it’s not everyday you meet someone with a legit world record. Simon boosted 35.5 feet above the lip of the quarterpipe, throwing in a 900 with a tail grab. Are you kidding me? The record was previously held by snowboard legend, Terje who claimed 32 feet and a backside 360 method in 2007.  Prior that, the record was held by Heikki Sorsa. Congrats on a World Record Simon and thanks to Freeskier for the support!

Jacob Wester Wins Freestyle.ch

Swedish skier Jacob Wester won the Freestyle.ch this weekend in Zurich, Switzerland. This being the first big event of the year and also held in Europe means we wont have pictures or video until next week. Stay tuned as they should be well worth the wait. Looks like all of the heavy hitters were on hand to give the crowd a show.

Colby James West Drops Volkl For CoreUPT Skis

The rumors about Colby James West are true. Colby has dropped Volkl Skis for French Freeski brand CoreUPT Skis. His new pro model, the Coreupt Urban Rise, will be available this season. Colby is an awesome representative for the FreeSki industry and we can only wait to see what he has in store for us this season.

Windells Session Guest Appearances
Summer is only a few weeks away, what are your plans? The glacier up on Mt Hood is deeper than it has been in a billion years, and guess what Windells is planning to do with it? Windells will build the biggest jump Mt Hood has ever seen along with a MASSIVE Hip Jump. With that said, here is a little update of hot off the press news.
Pep Fujas and Chris Benchentler have confirmed their arrival to coach session 4 July 6th-13th. Pep and Chris will not just be hanging out at camp; they will be members of Windells coaching staff to help you learn all of the steezy tricks which they are so well known for. Plans are brewing to have an outdoor nimbus premier upon their arrival.
Tanner Hall will be coming during Session 2 to shoot the intro for his upcoming film project, MASSIVE. He will be filming on Mt. Hoods biggest hip to date. Tanner cannot wait to ski Windells Private Terrain Park including the 8 new rails and boxes that RebBull so generously will be donating to the summer shred cause.
If you want to be a part of any of this, then act fast becase spots are limited. Aside from that, Mt Hood received 70 feet of snow this year, which broke a billion year record. This summer at Windells is going to be incredible. Visit www.windells.com for more info.
